Rotary Club Dillibazar Kathmandu Extends Relief to Earthquake-Hit Barkota Village in Jajarkot, Nepal

The club, known for its commitment to community service, distributed a total of 274 tarps (tarpaulins) to provide immediate shelter solutions. Additionally, 80 blankets and 260 sweaters were handed out to help residents cope with the chilling temperatures in the aftermath of the earthquake.

This generous relief effort was made possible through collaborative partnerships with various organizations dedicated to earthquake relief. Working hand-in-hand with Rotary Club Dillibazar Kathmandu were Friends of Nepal, South Australia, Rotary Club of Mitcham, Friends of Nepal, Mumic from Germany, and Oli Society Nepal.

The distribution program took place in the presence of local government officials, ensuring transparency and effective coordination in reaching those in need. A total of 280 families benefited from the relief supplies, providing much-needed support during these challenging times.

This initiative not only addressed the immediate needs of the affected families but also showcased the power of collaboration in disaster response. The Rotary Club Dillibazar Kathmandu, along with its partners, demonstrated a strong commitment to community welfare and played a crucial role in alleviating the hardships faced by the earthquake victims.

The residents of Barkota Village expressed their gratitude for the timely and substantial support, emphasizing the significance of such collaborative efforts in rebuilding and recovering from natural disasters. As communities come together to support one another, the spirit of resilience and solidarity shines brightly in the face of adversity.
