Grand Celebration of ‘Rota Teej – 2025’ by Rotary Club of Dillibazar


Kathmandu – The Rotary Club of Dillibazar successfully organized the grand celebration of ‘Rota Teej – 2025’ on the occasion of Nepalese women’s great festival, Teej. The event was held under the chairmanship of Club President Prem Wali and graced by Rotary District 3292 Assistant Governor Rtn. Ashok Kumar Shrestha as the Chief Guest. The presence of District Secretary Anish Bajracharya, Past President of the rotary club of Thamel , Sarojani Sherchan, District Alumni Chair Bhawani Devkota, and District Official Mahesh Bir Bajracharya, Director of Southwest State College , Tikaram Mahara , Wada Member of Kathmandu Metro Santos Dhungel as special guests further enhanced the significance of the program.
The evening was filled with vibrant musical and cultural performances. Renowned national-level artists, including Prem Prakash Wali, Govinda Madhur Acharya, Sunita Karki, Udiram Khadka, Birma Khadka, Manohari Thapa, and Indra Shekhar Khadka, captivated the audience with songs, dances, and comedy acts. Adding to the charm, Rotarians and their spouses also presented delightful dance performances that won the hearts of the attendees.
One of the major highlights of the event was the Fashion Show, featuring 16 Rotarians and spouses. Among the participants, Pushpa Poudel secured first place, Shilu Poudel stood second, and Smita Khadka was awarded third place. The judging panel comprised Bhawani Devkota, Manohari Thapa, and Sharmila Linkha.
Past President Indira Parajuli delivered the welcome remarks, while Chief Guest Ashok Shrestha, in his address, highlighted that such events play a vital role in honoring women across generations—from mothers to grandmothers—fostering unity and promoting Nepal’s rich cultural heritage.
The program, coordinated by First Lady Urmila Khadka, was conducted in an elegant and dignified manner by media personality Shashi Sharma Majgaiya.
