Free Health Camp and 40+ Marathon Concluded in Dillibazar
Kathmandu. As in previous years, Rotary Club of Dillibazar successfully organized its annual Free Health Camp and 40+ Marathon as part of its commitment to social responsibility. The marathon was conducted in collaboration with the Maitidevi–Dillibazar 40+ Youth Group.
Alongside the marathon, a health camp was organized targeting local residents. The camp included blood tests, eye check-ups, whole-body health examinations, and a blood donation program. Organizers stated that locals actively participated and benefited directly from the health services provided.
Program Coordinator and Immediate Past President of the Club, Sagarnidhi Tiwari, highlighted that such health services and awareness campaigns not only create a positive impact in the community but also directly benefit many individuals. According to him, people with chronic illnesses and eye-related problems expressed particular satisfaction at being able to undergo check-ups.
President of Rotary Club of Dillibazar, Prem Wali, remarked:
“Programs like these strengthen the bond between the local community and Rotary Club while also enhancing Rotary’s public image.”
The event witnessed significant participation from club officials, social workers, local residents, and representatives from various sectors. Organizers noted that active involvement from locals made the program even more impactful.
Rotary Club of Dillibazar has consistently organized social responsibility activities in the past, including health camps, blood donation drives, and student health screenings. According to club officials, such initiatives will continue in the future as well. The partner organization this program were GMP Foundation, Matrika Eye Hospital, Alpha Care Diagnostic Center, and Himalaya Blood Bank etc.
