RI District 3292 Successfully Concludes Foundation Seminar

 Kathmandu. Rotary International District 3292, Nepal–Bhutan, successfully concluded its Foundation Seminar with grand participation. The seminar, held at the Best Western Hotel in Sinamangal, saw the presence of representatives from around 86 Rotary Clubs across the country and over 200 Rotarians.

District Governor Binod Koirala attended the program as the Chief Guest, while several Past District Governors participated as Special Guests, sharing their experiences and guidance with the attendees.

Speakers emphasized that the Rotary Foundation is a crucial pillar for strengthening Rotary’s global mission. They highlighted that every club and every Rotarian plays an essential role in enhancing the Foundation, as grants received through it help implement impactful community-based projects that transform the lives of thousands of people.

Motivational sessions were delivered by Past District Governors Sanjay Giri, Jitendra Rajbhandari, Rajiv Pokharel, and Basudev Golyan, who inspired participants to increase their personal and collective commitment to the Foundation. Similarly, Immediate Past District Governor Rajendraman Sherchan and District Governor Elect Bishnu Bahadur Karki shared their insights on the importance and future vision of the Rotary Foundation.

Speakers illustrated the inspiring principle that “a giving hand is never empty,” explaining with examples how contributions made to the Rotary Foundation often return to the community in the form of projects valued at more than double the original amount. Detailed information was also presented on the Endowment Fund, which plays a vital role in supporting long-term and sustainable Rotary initiatives.

Towards the end of the program, various clubs and Rotarians were recognized and honored for their significant contributions to the Rotary Foundation. The event concluded with all participants expressing their commitment to further strengthening Foundation giving, awareness, and engagement in the coming years. Rotarian Prem Kumar Oli , The president of RC Dillibazar also attened the program.
