Three-Day ICT Training Program Concluded by Rotary Club
The three-day Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) training program has been successfully completed under the
joint organization of the Rotary Club of Dillibazar-Kathmandu and the Rotary
Club of Kathmandu, with support from the Basic Education and Literacy
Department of Rotary International District 3292.
The training was held at Mangalodaya Secondary
School, Thankot, and was attended by 22 teachers, one from each of various
community schools in the Chandragiri area. The program took place on Falgun 6,
7, and 8.
The inaugural session featured Past President
Rtn. Prof. Dr. Parthiveshwor Prasad Timilsina of Rotary Club of Dillibazar-Kathmandu
as the chief guest, while the closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Ghanshyam
Giri, Mayor of Chandragiri Municipality, as the chief guest.
Both sessions were chaired by Rtn. Prem Kumar
Oli, President of the Rotary Club of Dillibazar-Kathmandu.
Program Coordinator and Past President Rtn.
Leelanath Sharma delivered the welcome remarks, while notable attendees
included Vice President Rtn. Deepti Singh, Secretary Rtn. Sandhya Rajbhandari,
Past President Rtn. Tirtha Raj Dahal, President-Elect Rtn. Prof. Dr. Pushparaj
Sharma, President-Nominee Rtn. Keshav Gyawali, Vice President Rtn. Pranjun
Khadka, Rtn. Shreekrishna Dahal, and Mangalodaya Secondary School Principal Mr.
Kabindra Gopali among others.
The training sessions were conducted by Rtn. Hari
Acharya. Participating teachers expressed their appreciation for gaining
practical skills in question paper preparation, exam evaluation, and result
processing, and requested similar useful training programs in the future.
During the closing ceremony, Mayor Ghanshyam
Giri shared plans to introduce digital classrooms across all community schools
within the Chandragiri Municipality.
Program Chair Rtn. Prem Kumar Oli encouraged
teachers to share their acquired knowledge and skills with colleagues, emphasizing
that “Knowledge grows when shared.”
Various speakers expressed their remarks during
the ceremony, and certificates were distributed to all participating teachers
by the chief guest at the conclusion of the event.
