Menstrual Hygiene Awareness and Sanitary Pad Distribution Program Held

On Falgun 27, 2082 (Thursday), Rotary Club of Dillibazar organized a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness and Sanitary Pad Distribution Program for adolescent girls at Albert Secondary School, Maitidevi.

During the program, Suraksha GC and Sanjana Lekhak conducted an awareness session on menstrual hygiene, proper use of sanitary pads, and safe disposal methods, emphasizing that menstruation is a natural biological process. Sanitary pads were also distributed to all participating students.

The program was attended by Past Presidents Leelanath Sharma and Indira Parajuli, Club Secretary Sandhya Rajbhandari, and School Management Committee Chairperson Shambhu Pokharel.

Speaking on the occasion, Past President Indira Parajuli noted that March is Rotary’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Month, and the program was organized to promote health and hygiene awareness among adolescent girls.

Lalitpur – Rotary International District 3202 successfully organized a Membership and Public Image Seminar at Hotel Tulip, Gwarko, Lalitpur. The program was graced by Chief Guest PDG CA Sharat Chandra, Rotary Membership Coordinator, and Honoree Guest PDG Bindu Singh, Rotary Public Image Chair. District Governor Binod Koirala, ARPIC Ajay Agrawal, PDG Rajendra Khandelwal, along with resource persons PDG Dilendra Raj Shrestha, PDG Sanjay Giri, PDG Jitendra Rajbhandari, and other distinguished Rotarians, were present on the occasion. Warm Clothes Distribution

A warm clothes distribution program was successfully conducted through the joint initiative of Rotary Club of Dillibazar, Rotaract Club of Dillibazar, Sahaj Foundation, and Rotaract Club of Kathmandu . The program targeted residents of Bagargaun, Roshigaun, and surrounding areas under Panauti Municipality, Kavrepalanchok District . With the gradual increase in winter cold, the program was organized with the objective of protecting children, women, and senior citizens from underprivileged and needy communities from the harsh effects of cold weather. Under this initiative, approximately 300 kg of warm clothes were distributed to the beneficiaries. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents , and the families who received support expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the organizing institutions.
