Free Water Distribution and Furniture Handover Program Completed
Kathmandu – Continuing its commitment to social service, Rotary Club of Dillibazar, Kathmandu successfully organized a Free Water Distribution and Furniture Handover Program with the aim of making a positive contribution to the community. As part of the initiative, the club provided financial assistance to the Ganesh Temple Women’s Group in Anamnagar to support the continuation of its free water distribution program for one year. In another community support effort, the club also handed over essential furniture for the blood donation program regularly conducted at Radha Krishna Temple.
The Ganesh Temple Women’s Group has been carrying out the noble work of distributing free drinking water to passersby at the temple premises in Anamnagar for a long time by raising funds from within the group itself. To strengthen and sustain this humanitarian initiative, the Rotary Club of Dillibazar provided the financial support required for one year.
While handing over the support amount, Club President Prem Oli emphasized the importance of institutional cooperation in continuing humanitarian service activities in society. He appreciated the women’s group for its dedicated efforts over the years and expressed the club’s commitment to continuously supporting such meaningful social initiatives.
The program was attended by Past President Indira Parajuli, President-Elect Sujita Adhikari, Secretary Sandhya Rajbhandari, along with other club officials and members. Participants praised the active involvement of the women’s group and expressed that such initiatives spread positive messages throughout society.
Active member of the women’s group and social worker Nirmala Subedi informed that approximately three jars of water are distributed daily, and she expressed gratitude to the club for its financial support in sustaining the program.
In the same week, the Rotary Club of Dillibazar, Kathmandu carried out another social initiative by handing over essential furniture for the regular blood donation program organized at Radha Krishna Temple. Club President Prem Oli officially handed over the furniture to the Chairperson of the Temple Management Committee.
The furniture handover event was attended by Past Presidents Leelanath Sharma and Indira Parajuli, President-Elect Sujita Adhikari, Secretary Sandhya Rajbhandari, Rotarian Bishnu Parajuli, Joint Secretary Bishnu Bahadur Khatri, and Ward Member Santosh Dhungel of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 29, among others.
Speakers at the event highlighted that the furniture support was provided to strengthen life-saving campaigns such as blood donation, adding that such collaborative efforts help reinforce the spirit of social responsibility within the community.
