School-Level Road Safety Awareness Program Conducted

Kathmandu, May 18, 2026 — Rotary Club of Dillibazar–Kathmandu and Rotaract Club of Dillibazar jointly organized a “School-Level Road Safety Awareness Program for Children” today at Albert Secondary School, Maitidevi.

The program saw the active participation of students from grades 6 and 7. Program Coordinator Rotarian Damodar Nepal delivered a presentation on road safety, highlighting how children can remain safe while using roads, the importance of following traffic rules, and ways to spread awareness among others.

During the program, past presidents of the club also shared their views on road safety and encouraged students to become aware and responsible citizens.

The event was organized as part of the “Road Safety Week” campaign announced by Rotary International District 3292, being observed from May 13 to May 19.

The program was attended by Club President Prem Kumar Oli, Past President Indira Parajuli, President-Elect Sujita Adhikari, School Management Committee Chairperson Shambhu Pokharel, teachers, staff members, and Rotaract members.
