Interactive Session on Burn Injuries

The 1317th regular meeting, held yesterday, was graced by the esteemed presence of Professor and Plastic Surgeon Dr. Shankar Man Rai and Dr. Kiran Nakarmi, Director of Kirtipur Burn Hospital , as guest speakers. While addressing the program, Dr. Shankar Man Rai highlighted that burn-related issues in Nepal are extremely serious. He noted that due to the limited number of hospitals providing burn treatment, there is an overwhelming patient load, making hospital operations increasingly challenging. He also shared that Kirtipur Burn Hospital has been delivering services of a higher standard than those available in India. As most burn victims come from economically disadvantaged families, treatment has largely depended on national and international support. He further mentioned that since last year, the Government of Nepal has also begun providing assistance, which has brought some relief. Sixth Blood Donation Program Successfully Completed

The Rotary Club of Dillibazar successfully organized its sixth blood donation program of this year today. The club has informed that it plans to conduct a total of 12 blood donation programs this year in collaboration with Radhakrishna Bhajan Mandal, GMPT Foundation, Sahaj Foundation, Kalpana Foundation, Kalibhakt Foundation, and the Interact Club of Dillibazar. The program was graced by the presence of Club President Prem Oli, Past President Dr. Parthiveshwar Prasad Timilsina, Past President Lilanath Sharma, Ward Member Santosh Dhungel, Past President Indira Parajuli, Secretary Sandhya Rajbhandari, Membership Chair Saurav Pant, Rotarian Bishnu Parajuli, President of the Rotaract Club Sakshi Baheti, along with other distinguished social workers and community members.  On Poush 10, 2082 (December 25, 2025), the Rotary Club of Dillibazar successfully organized its Annual District Governor (DG) Visit Program in a grand and dignified manner. Warm Clothes Distribution

A warm clothes distribution program was successfully conducted through the joint initiative of Rotary Club of Dillibazar, Rotaract Club of Dillibazar, Sahaj Foundation, and Rotaract Club of Kathmandu . The program targeted residents of Bagargaun, Roshigaun, and surrounding areas under Panauti Municipality, Kavrepalanchok District . With the gradual increase in winter cold, the program was organized with the objective of protecting children, women, and senior citizens from underprivileged and needy communities from the harsh effects of cold weather. Under this initiative, approximately 300 kg of warm clothes were distributed to the beneficiaries. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents , and the families who received support expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the organizing institutions. The Rotary Club of Dillibazar–Kathmandu is pleased to share with you one of its flagship community service initiatives for Rotary Year 2025–26 : a School-Level Eye Health Screening, Eye Camp, and Spectacle Distribution Project for children studying in public schools. Uncorrected vision problems among children often go unnoticed and directly affect their learning ability, confidence, and long-term quality of life. With this understanding, our club designed this project to create early detection, timely treatment, and sustainable impact among school-going children in comparatively underserved areas of Kathmandu Valley. Dustbin Distribution Program Conducted by Rotary Club of Dillibazar–Kathmandu

 Kathmandu  9 December 2025— The Rotary Club of Dillibazar–Kathmandu, in collaboration with Unnati Organization, successfully completed a dustbin distribution program at Kankali Secondary School located in Ward No. 13, Old Naikap, Chandragiri Municipality. The chief guest of the program, President of Rotary Club of Dillibazar, Mr. Prem Wali, handed over the dustbins to the school’s principal, Mr. Bishnu Paneru. The event was graced by special guests including Past President Mr. Lilanath Sharma, Past President Ms. Indira Parajuli, Treasurer Mr. Manoj Shrestha, and Rotary Foundation Director Mr. Sumit Kunwar.
